I have always been a coffee lover so when I was asked to try out the new Belgian Belmio coffee capsules I couldn’t wait. If the Belgians could produce coffee even half as good as their chocolate then they would be on to a winner. I must say I certainly wasn’t disappointed. This is sensationally aromatic and flavoursome coffee.
The Belmio coffee capsules range has eight blends to choose from. Made from the very best of Arabica and Robusta beans and roasted slowly to perfect the exquisite flavours. Presented in premium aluminium capsules that are not only attractive, more importantly, they protect against oxygen, light and moisture. The coffee capsules are compatible with most Nespresso machines.

The Belmio coffee is rich and intense and there is a lovely selection of eight uniquely different flavours. The quality of the blends are exceptional and all are suitable for drinking as Ristretto, Espresso and Lungo.
Choose from Allegro, Origio, Largo, Risoluto and Intenso.
Allegro is a blend of both Arabica and Indian Robusta. This coffee is fruity and spicy, slightly sweet with woody hints.
Origio is 100% Arabica and is a full-bodied fruity flavour, rich and charismatic. This is a medium strength coffee and is a perfect choice for that early morning cuppa.
Largo is also 100% Arabica which is richly aromatic and as the name suggests is a great choice for a mid-morning Lungo. A great accompaniment to a cake, or even a little Belgian chocolate.
Risoluto was my personal favourite. A terrific blend of Arabica and Robusta beans with a warm hint of caramel. Rich and aromatic this was a perfect combination of flavours.
Intenso is robust and deep and as the name suggests it has a more intense flavour. Perfect for those who enjoy a stronger more powerful coffee and a great selection to complete your evening meal.

Or perhaps you will find your own personal favourite amongst one of the 3 coffee capsules from the Belmio Lovers Range; Valentina, Seducio and Aphrodicia.
Valentina is of medium strength. A soft blend with fruity hints, warm and romantic with a promise of dark chocolate.
Seducio is richly dark and also chocolatey, vivid and intense with flavours of wild berries and sultanas.
Aphrodicia is a slightly deeper blend, with a quirky twist of contemporary flavours. Hints of citrus mingle with sweet honey notes to give this coffee a unique and exciting taste.
Rich and aromatic, the Belmio coffee capsules are a premium product with a fabulous flavour. What I particularly liked was that the choice was not overly extensive making it easy to select a different coffee depending on the time of day, the occasion or even your mood. I thoroughly enjoyed my taste trial and will certainly be putting these capsules on my shopping list in the future.
