With Summer only a couple of months away we’re looking at some of the top summer holiday destinations to travel to.

1. Ibiza

Ibiza stole the heart of the inner wild child in me a couple of years back and since then it’s my favourite place for a couple of days at the beginning of the summer. If partying and nightlife isn’t your scene, don’t be fooled there’s some quaint villages and postcard looking towns away from the bright lights and loud music. Towns such as Santa Eulalia, Portinaxt and Cala Vadella are great places to relax.

Ibiza Old Town is gorgeous and a great spot for people-watching, it has been known a Hollywood A-lister or two to be spotted walking around the old town. There is also an incredible bus network that can take you all over the small island but don’t forget to head to Sunset Strip at least once on your holiday to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve witnessed.

2. Tenerife

Tenerife is an all year round holiday destination, with great weather throughout the Winter months too. It’s great for people of all ages and the South of the island is popular with tourists. If you do hire a car, take a trip to Santa Cruz in the North for the day and come back via Mount Teide to see the amazing lava fields and volcano.

If you’re looking for a relaxed but vibrant holiday area Adeje is a lot calmer than the bustling Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas which are full of lively bars and restaurants. If you’re looking for good restaurants Oliver’s Out of Town and The Monkey Bar both come highly recommended.

3. Mallorca

Mallorca is also another great island to head to this summer. In particular Palma. From historic buildings to beautiful beaches and great tapas, there’s something for everybody. Experience city centre life whilst being right next to the beach. Marvel at the art scene and take in the epic cathedral before having lunch at our favourite, Anima Beach Club.

If you’re looking for something a little more lively than cosmopolitan Palma then head slightly along the coast to party resort Magaluf for crazy nightlife.

4. Florida

If you’re looking a little further afield than Europe for your summer holiday destination then why not look at a trip to Florida. The sunshine state. From Disney and Universal in the heart of Orlando to the boutique celebrity favourite of Miami, the Keys and even as far as Daytona, Florida offers fun in the sun like no other.

You can even mix your holiday up and spend half of it touring the theme parks and getting thrown around exhilarating rides before spending the second part kicking back and chilling in one of Florida’s top relaxing coastal locations.

5. Mexico

One of our most favourite summer holidays was our trip to Mexico, in particular Cancun. With our beachfront hotel in the heart of the atmosphere, there was plenty to see and do. Take a day trip to Chichen Itza to see the Mayan Ruins. Or get the ferry to the Isla Mujeres and hire a golf cart to see the entire island. Stop off at a beach bar and enjoy some ice-cold Corona as you look out to perfect blue seas and golden sands.

If you’re looking for a club scene, Coco Bongo or Seniõr Frogs will really get the party started.

There you have our quick guide to our top 5 picks for a summer holiday destination. Of course, there are plenty more amazing places to see and we highly recommend you travel the world as far and as wide as you can.
